Last December 2, 2019, Iloilo City finally opened its Christmas lights to strengthen the love of Ilonggos this Christmas season.
Displaying lights during the Christmas season is as old as the holiday itself. We may be using lights in different ways and different reasons, but light was just as important in the early years of holiday celebrations as it is today.
From the inspiring symbol of a dazzling star to a decorative way to brighten up our Christmas trees, light has always played a major role in the majestic feeling of the holidays. Light gives glow to homeless Ilonggos, hope for people with sickness, and love in our hearts.
What is more important than giving light to the people around us?
This Christmas lighting tradition is a gift from God that we must all cherish and maintain in the years to come.
Iloilo City is known as the City of love, this Christmas lighting celebration shows the love of all Ilonggos in Iloilo.
