Duterte: Allow illegal Chinese to work here
President Rodrigo Duterte would rather allow illegal Chinese workers here to stay, as deporting them might trigger tit for tat that could affect 300,000 Filipinos in China.
“The Chinese here, just let them work here. Just let them. Why? We have 300,000 Filipinos in China,” the President said during a campaign rally of the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) in Biñan City, Laguna province, on Sunday.

Motorcycle taxis ‘illegal’ starting next week — LTFRB board member
Starting next week, motorcycles-for-hire will be declared “illegal” and will be impounded, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) board member Antonio Gardiola Jr. said Monday.
In an interview with reporters at the Senate prior to a hearing on bills seeking to regulate motorcycle taxis, Gardiola said they have recommended the termination of the pilot study meant to assess the safety of bikes for public transport.
How many will be affected?
There are currently 27,000 Angkas Riders.
17,000 displaced by Joyride of 10,000 riders.
The point is jobs lost and offered, not the different fields. There should be balance of priorities and following the law on "illegal" workers be it Mainlander Chinese, or the soon to be illegal Motor Taxi Riders. The problem may be on the different treatment because illegal Mainlanders are untouchable and allowed to stay, while the soon to be illegal Motor Taxi Riders will have immediate punishment like their Motorcycle will be subject to impound if found still operating. When you say illegal, punishment should be applicable to all.
